With October in full-swing, it is safe to say that fall has officially arrived. Although this year may feel a little different…kids learning from home, empty football stadiums… it is still a wonderful season here in Laguna Beach. Below is a roundup of safe, outdoor activities for the entire family.
Family Paddleboard & Kayak Tours – With calm waters and no crowds, fall is the best time to be out on the water. La Vida Laguna offers lessons and tours to explore Laguna’s beautiful waters and coastline.

A scenic hike along the 1.7 mile Water Tank Trail. Although part of the trail is a bit steep, the views at the top are breathtaking. A great hike all levels can partake in, and one that is sure to tire the kids out.

Tide Pool Exploring. Laguna has no shortage of marine life just waiting for you to explore. Just remember, no touching or taking any items to ensure the conservation of our beautiful landscape. Some of the best tide pools can be seen at Crescent Beach, Rockpile, Thousand Steps, Treasure Island & Woods Cove.

Outdoor Art Tour. The Hive, located in Laguna Arts District, is home to a collection of large-scale art murals. Enjoy some delicious food and local brewed beers while spending time viewing the colorful art showcased on the facades of The Hive businesses.
Sawdust Outdoor Marketplace, taking place from September 19 – October 25th. Due to Covid19, the much loved Sawdust Art Festival was canceled this past summer. You and your family can still enjoy the Sawdust tradition via The Outdoor Marketplace. The Outdoor Marketplace is a modified show that will feature a collection of multi-media artists, along with two stages of entertainment and four concession stands with food and beverage options.
